Mission

The Children Charitable Foundation of Myanmar is setup to assist the sisters running St. Mary’s Home, an orphanage for girls in Kyauktan, Myanmar. The sisters work hard to be self-sufficient but, with at least 125 orphans, they need assistance to keep the orphanage running. They have come up with numerous ways to feed themselves and the orphans. They hired a contractor to make a pond in the middle of the orphanage in order to raise fish and shrimp. They have also built a series of layered houses to raise chickens for eggs. Even with a varied food supply produced on site, the amount of girls under their care and realities of modern life mean some outside assistance is needed to fully care for the children. The Children Charitable Foundation of Myanmar provides critical funds to the Orphanage for food and other items that cannot be produced on site. Maintenance is also critical in a country as prone to extreme weather as Myanmar, as such the Foundation has previously provided funds to repair the collapsing Orphanage roof that was damaged in the Tsunami.

We pledge that 100% of the proceeds received from the general public will be forwarded to the orphanage home in Myanmar and that all members of board serve without compensation. Only contributions that are made by “Insiders” (members of the Board of Directors) will be allocated to pay the ordinary and necessary business operating expenses of the Corporation. We further stipulate that all donors shall have the right to inspect the books and bank records of the charitable organization so that there will be no misunderstanding on how and where your contributions are being used.
